Tunisia
Tunisia has prolonged its state of emergency more than a year after it was decreed.
The security measures had been reinforced after a presidential guard bus was attacked by armed men.
Initially decreed for 30 days on November 24, 2015, the state of emergency has been continuously renewed by Tunisian president Béji Caid Essebsi.
Tunisia officials say the decision to prolong has been partly taken because of the ongoing situation in Libya. stating it could continue until Libya forms a government that can master the situation.
Tunisia shares 500km border with Libya plunged into chaps after the fall of Muammar Gadaffi.
Th situation has been made worse by ISIS which seeks to extend its roots to the North African nation.
The state of emergency gives exceptional powers to forces of law and order although sometimes human rights organisations denounce abuses.
